Dr Pain and the Remedy is one of the premier rock cover bands in southern Oregon. The band specializes in power pop, a style of rock music celebrated for memorable riffs, hooks, and vocal harmonies. The term was coined by Pete Townshend to describe the melodic driving music of The Who, but it also applied to other British Invasion bands in the 60s, most notably The Beatles. Later, bands like Cheap Trick, The Smithereens, and The Cars continued the tradition into the 70s and 80s.
All four band members in Dr Pain and the Remedy play and sing, resulting in harmonies and diverse vocal styles. With many years of combined musical experience, the band is tight and the show is engaging.
